Charitable Charters are available to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations and offered in two distinct formats:

Full Donation Charter
This Charitable Charter includes CPYR’s 100% donation of Adeline’s Sea Moose captains, crew, and operational costs. Please note that we have reached our commitment capacity for 2026.

Donation-Rate Charter
Offering qualified nonprofits hosting a charitable event a meaningful reduction in charter fees while preserving the impact of a priceless pampered private yachting experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible for Charitable Charter consideration?
Only 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in good standing are eligible. (A copy of the organization’s IRS Letter of Determination confirming 501(c)(3) status will be required.)

Does the organization need to be based in Chicago?
No. While the organization does not need to be located in Chicago, it must have its headquarters within the United States.

Are there eligibility restrictions on the types of organizations?
Yes. Eligible organizations must be service-oriented charitable nonprofits. Entities primarily focused on political activity, lobbying, or advocacy are not eligible.

What types of causes have used Charitable Charters?
Charitable Charters are open to a wide range of service-based causes. To date, they’ve supported initiatives for military veterans, individuals and families experiencing homelessness, and children affected by pediatric cancer.

How have Charitable Charters been used?
Charitable Charters have been of value to a variety of purposes, including: Fundraising efforts, such as ticketed events, raffle prizes, or a combination of both. Donor appreciation functions, honoring existing, new, or prospective supporters. Direct service experiences, offering uplifting outings for individuals served by a nonprofit organization

What is the typical length and attendance of a Charitable Charter cruise?
Charitable Charters cruises vary based on purpose and audience, but here’s a general guide: Fundraising efforts and Donor appreciation functions are typically 2.5-hour skyline cruises and host around 30 guests. Direct service experiences are usually 1.5-hour skyline cruises for up to 20 participants. Cruises can be extended in duration and accommodate up to 45 guests. Every cruise delivers meaningful impact, whether through celebration, connection, or compassionate service.
