27th Annual Lincoln Park ZooLights Returns New Features & Animal Habitats

Chicago’s favorite holiday tradition is back and better than ever in 2021 with our new Pepper Family Wildlife Center at the heart of the zoo, a new holiday lights experience on our Main Mall, and an exciting new light show on our South Lawn. Also new this year: sensory-friendly visit times and an impressive 18-foot holiday tree sure to inspire festive oohs and aahs.

ZooLights Presented by ComEd and Invesco QQQ is a cheerful, family-friendly holiday event in the heart of the city.

This year’s ZooLights will again feature hundreds of luminous LED displays and seasonal experiences, all under the glow of millions of lights.

Lincoln Park Zoo Chicago (August 12, 2021)—A cherished Chicago holiday tradition, Lincoln Park Zoo’s 27th annual ZooLights Presented by ComEd and Invesco QQQ returns this November bringing seasonal joy! Tickets are required. Tickets are $5 per person Wednesday-Sunday and tickets are free Mondays and Tuesdays. All ticket sales support the zoo’s world-class animal care, global conservation efforts, and innovative learning programs. Tickets will be available mid-October, with special early access for zoo members.

“One key piece of feedback we received last year was how much guests appreciated a more intimate ZooLights experience,” said Zoo Director Megan Ross, Ph.D. “To ensure everyone has a safe and memorable experience, $5 tickets will return to ZooLights this year with limited capacity in place. Free nights will also be available every Monday and Tuesday.”

New this year at ZooLights: sensory-friendly visit times, new lighting concepts on the Main Mall and South Lawn, an enhanced Enchanted Forest experience, and a stunning 18-foot holiday tree at the zoo’s new Pepper Family Wildlife Center, set to open this fall.
